Emoji Proposal
This bitmap project focuses on translating the style of emojis to a pixelated design. The top five are actual emojis, while the bottom five are my proposed ones. I focused on a pixelated design for the emojis because I love video games and respect pixel art.
I proposed this half-heart emoji to Jennifer Daniel, head of Unicode and Creative Director of Google. I got the half-heart concept from The Legend of Zelda and Minecraft. I proposed that the half-heart could represent a lack of energy, health, or a state of struggle and survival in a person.
